Segulah was founded in 1994 by several members of the current management. Initially, the business operated as a private investment firm.

Segulah I We were subsequently able to attract external investors, prompting us to launch a 200-million-Swedish kronor fund, Segulah I, in 1997.

Today, Segulah I is closed and all its capital, including profits, have been returned to investors. An independent evaluator ranked Segulah I, as one of the world's most successful funds of its vintage.

Segulah II The success of Segulah I spawned the creation of a new fund. Segulah II, with 850 million Swedish kronor in aggregate capital commitments, was launched in 2000.

Closed for new investments, Segulah II has acquired eight companies of which seven have been sold.

Segulah III Segulah launched its third fund in the fall of 2004. Segulah III has aggregate capital commitments of 2.35 billion Swedish kronor. Segulah III was fully invested during 2008.

Segulah IV Segulah IV, which is the most recent of Segulah´s funds, was launched in October 2007 and has aggregate capital commitment of 5,2 billion Swedish kronor. The size of the funds was capped to its current amount with regards to the strategic ambition to continue to successfully execute its lower mid-market strategy. This is a continuation of the investment strategy executed over the last fifteen years generating excellent returns. Segulah IV made its first investment in August 2008.
